Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

Hey There,
Today I am writing a quirky review on these really cool products I received from influenster.com!
I want to mention before I start that this product did not work out for me personally  (I'll explain) but I am definitely buying a set for my cousin because I think they are great!

Application process: These fake are the easiest things ever to apply! You just peel off a little plastic thing and press it on your nail; no glue, no drying time! I had to press some of them a little harder than others if they weren't lining up to the curve of my nail. I love that there are SO many of the nails in one set. There's more than enough for two applications so you can wear them for a really long time simply replacing a few here and there!

The look: I LOVED the shape of these, very classic and not extra long and ridiculous at all. I used the leopard print pattern and I think it looks really cool personally.

Wear: I'm just going to say it right off the bat, these did not last me a week. Some lasted through two showers and two sleeps but many did not. I'm not going to lie though, if it was getting loose I peeled it off. I didn't just let a floppy nail stay on my nail because I don't think that counts as it lasting.

Removal: The ones that do stay on your nails long enough that you want to purposefully remove them, its not hard at all. I recommend washing your hands with hot/warm water and soap to loosen them but but you don't even need to do that. Also, they don't damage your nails at all upon removal like regular acrylics.

Cons: I just have to say, I probably won't wear these again because my nails are just too big for them! None of them fit on my thumb nail and I used all "thumb nail" ones for the rest of my fingers pretty much. I think these are better for tweens say 10-14 or any adult who doesn't have big nails. This isn't really their fault because my nail beds are just really big, but I can't honestly say I will repurchase for myself.

Where to buy: These are at drugstores like CVS, Rite Aid, Duane Reade, Kmart, Walgreens, Walmart etc. They're only $5.99 for plain colors and $7.99 for patterns which is a great price for two applications!

Nail Tutorial Video: City Skyline

Howdy,
I don't know why but somehow when I type I tend to sound like a cowboy half the time.. I dunno y'all!
Anyhoo- I did these adorable City Skyline at Night nails and I put together a video tutorial for it so I hope you check it out! I have used the Sally Girl 94 cent polish in IQ as the base color and then just a toothpick and skewer with black silver and yellow paints for the designs.

NYC Glitter Eyeliner- 5 Eyeliner Looks

Hey guys,
I made this little video showing my five favorite ways to wear this glittery eyeliner. I worked really hard to do this on my canon camera that doesn't have a viewfinder! Haha that's why there are some times when it's totally out of focus-it also doesn't auto-focus
I got this eyeliner from Influenster to try by the way, so I'll just write a quicky review for y'all :)

I'll just cut to the chase; this eyeliner is awesome! It is really bendable and you can even sheer it out like I did in one of the looks, which really displays its creaminess. I can go many uses without needing to sharpen it because it is so pigmented and I really don't have to press hard to get a good pigmented line.  The price is VERY cheap for these liners and you can get them at drugstores that carry New York Color products. I am not sure if they have more colors but I am definitly going to pick them up if they do.

Just a side note, I have tried their other eyeliners and some of them are really hard and not pigmented so I am just going to clarify; I really recommend the Showtime Glitter Eyeliner in Black- I can't vouch for the other ones yet but if I get more I'll review & swatch them too!

Essence Breaking Dawn Blush

Sun 18. Nov 2:42 pm

Here are swatches and pics of the new breaking dawn part two blush from Essence. You should be able to find this at your local Ulta.

I find it to be not very blendable but the color isn't too bright so the color is actually nice and wearable.

On the left blended out and on the right layered up :)

Cleaning My Makeup Collection

Sun 18. November 1:57 pm

I'm finally going to start blogging again! I decided to forget about trying to just make this a nail blog. This is going to by my life-blog with a focus on beauty, nails and fashion from now on.

To start it off I took some pictures last weekend when I was cleaning up around my desk and makeup collection. I also put away the stuff I only reach for in summer and traded for my more fall and winter
favorites.

Here's the before:

And here are some after pics:

My everyday eye and face products are stored in this little thingy mabobber from Salvation Army. In front are One By One waterproof mascara from Maybelline and Heather Silk blush from Wet N Wild to remind me to buy replacements.
The brushes I need to clean and my Sonia Kashuk brush cleanser are ready to go to the bathroom for a bath :)
 My Winter/Fall face products :)
 My fall eye products
More eye products are stored in this glass bowl because they're too little to store in the other wooden thingy.
In a vintage glass jam jar I have all my mascaras, eyeliners, and eye primers.

I also have a little jewelry box with 4 drawers for lip gloss and a caboodle with makeup I early used stored in it until I have recitals, shows, or competitions because I use that for..those. Anyways, I'll have a lip products collection and a what's in my performance makeup case another time :)
